So many things to paint, so little time....  

I paint what inspires me, and believe that whatever an
artist loves to paint is their best work.  So, you'll see in
my site that my subject matter isn't limited - maybe it's a
little unorthodox, but it keeps me and the people who
see my art interested.

Lots of times, my ideas come from the title first - and
that creates the image in my mind.  Other times, I see
something that I am just compelled to paint. Who knows
why....I attended a show of trompe l'oeil and became
very excited about it and worked on teaching myself
how to create believable textures and (this has been
especially challenging and fun...) how to paint MONEY!


I've been painting  for about fifteen years.  I was initially
taught by an artist who had been classically trained - he
showed me all sorts of things about underpaintings,
glazing, creating effects...he was a great teacher.  
Since then, I have been painting consistently and am
always looking for ways to learn and create art.

I enjoy my horses,
sometimes show at
cuttings, and
especially enjoy
starting the two-year
olds.  Also, after about
nine years of "fooling
around" I have taken
my hobby of fencing to
the competition strip
just over a year ago.
